We have been raising chickens for years now, and during this chicken adventure we have been on, we have have raised or owned so many different types chicken breeds. From heritage breed chickens, to rare chicken breeds, to Plymouth rock chickens to ayam cemani chickens. You name it, we have hatched it or have raised it. But over the last few weeks we have noticed that MC really loves certain breeds of chickens, and those are mainly Silkie chickens and show girl chickens. These 2 breeds she is truly passionate about, and so we have decided that we are going to start to slim down our egg laying flock somewhat, and start focusing more on those specific chicken breeds, the silkie and show girls. We plan to get NPIP certified and that will allow us to show our silkie chickens and also will allow us to ship fertile hatching eggs as well. We hope that MaryCarl becomes the Silkie Queen of the southeastern US and starts to learn more and more about the Silkie and becomes an expert on these particular chicken breeds.

Around three weeks ago, a fan sent us 5 ayam cemani fertile chicken eggs and also 5 cream legbar hatching eggs, and this week, these little chicks hatched. We are super excited about the ayam cemani chicks, and these all black chicks are just something to see, and we cannot wait for to see what they look like as they get older.

About 2 years ago we bought a 1969 Airstream International Land Yacht from a hunting club, and we had started on its renovation but then life happened and we got pulled away from this project, but we are now back on getting this classic camper back to where we can go on lots of family camping trips. Today we are going to try and remove the airstream's shell or body from the trailer - frame, and the way we are going got try doing this is by building a frame structure inside the airstream camper, and then cutting the bolts a loose from the shell and trailer. The next step will be us taking some jacks and jack stands and jacking up the interior frame we just built, and once we get the shell high enough, we will drive the trailer from underneath the airstream body, and then support the shell on concrete blocks. The trailer will be free from the shell and we can get all the work that needs to be done the airstream trailer, like welding, and the grey tank, and the sub floor, and rust protection, and the belly pan, axles, & insulation etc.
